Millie's Acres
Fainting Goats

How we came to raise fainting goats:
Many years ago I saw a clip on TV showing these silly little goats that would faint upon being startled or excited. I turned to my husband and said, "I have to get fainting goats!" Fast forward many years later....
I jumped in with both feet June 2013, when I purchased my first 2 Fainting Goats, Oreo and Atra, and my guard donkey, Winnie.
During the Summer of 2014, I purchased Daisy and Cricket and another guard donkey (who is very ornery), Trinket.
In 2015, I purchased 3 sweet little girls,Emma, Muriel and Petunia. I was a happy little goat herder.
Upon quitting my full time job (and losing my mind), I purchased 2 little boys, Apollo and Duke, in hopes of breeding and expanding my herd.
So, here we are! Ready to take on this next adventure of breeding fainting goats. We have one delivery season down. It went great! Love them babies!! Stay tuned in and check back often to see what our adventure brings!
About

Millie's Acres came to be when my mother purchased 80 acres in order to gain easement to the original 10 acres of land that belonged to our ancestors over 125 years ago. Since then my mother has passed, as have my grandparents, adding an additional 160 acres.
Millie's Acres was phrased as a term of endearment regarding my mother's newly purchased land. The term stuck and remains a tribute to the memory of the blessings my mother left behind for us.
The land is used for recreation, hunting, growing crops as well as raising fainting goats, donkeys and chickens. We are a registered MGR fainting goat farm and look forward to growing our herd.
